mirrors in living room wall

hello everyone welcome back. i'm disha and as you know, i'm here to help you transform your house into a home. and in case, you're new here then let me introduce myself. i not only share about home decor, home styling and home improvement but also some easy-peasy diys, gardening and art & craft. so do consider subscribing. i'm sure, i wouldn't disappoint you. alright! so today is second episode of design solutions with livspace and i received a lot of queries. i;m gonna answer four frequently asked queries. so let's start but before we go ahead let me share some important news with you.

she's also sent me some images. so these are the images. and neelam, according to the layout of your living room we have two living room images with us these living rooms are done by livspace interior designers. ok! neelam. first thing that i would like to suggest to you is that placement of your window is just perfect what you can do is just hang the curtains little higher because because right now they are quite low

so hang them little higher. so that there is feeling of grandeur, right! it'll give a feel of bigger room. so try that and second thing you can do is like right now your walls are in neutral color which is very good. but if you want to add some colors then what you can do is, create a statement wall and how you can do it either you can opt for wood paneling or you can get stenciling done or you can hang some picture frames or artwork so that way you can create a statement wall because bare walls are like blank canvases. you should fill in some colors of your personality.

ok, so the next thing is you can add some more colors using soft furnishings like cushions, and rugs, curtains so these are the ways to instantly cheer up the space. and since you already have sofas what i can see is still i can feel that there is something missing so what you can do is, you can get either two accent chairs or ottomans or poufs so it'll not only add some more seating space but will also look eye-pleasing. and if possible you can get your flooring changed

because these days wooden flooring is in trend so i would suggest you to get that done. if that is not possible for you then i have one cheaper alternative that is tile skin it's nothing but a self adhesive laminate you just have to remove the backing and just paste it on the floor it's easy to install and it's cheaper as well. now second query i've received from pushpanjali. pushpanjali has asked i want to decorate my balcony using plants and lamps.

she has very small balcony space and she wants to know how she can decorate it without spending much. so these are the pictures that received from pushpanjali. ok pushpanjali so first thing that i noticed is that right now your walls are quite dull and dirty as well. so what you can do is either you can give it a fresh coat of paint just whitewash is enough. or if this is your own apartment then i would suggest you to get it painted in some vibrant color like electric blue, lemon yellow or fuchsia so anything like that. so that it adds some character to your balcony space and secondly, you have very less floor space so what you can do is

instead of putting all the pots and planters on the floor, i would suggest you to use wall mount planters so that you have enough floor space that i'll tell you later what you can do with that. so all the pots and planter will be mounted on the wall. you get lots of wall mount pots and planters in market and online as well i have added the link in case you want to check out and then second thing is that you can hang some railing planters as well. link is given in description box. there are lots and lots of railing planters you can find in the market and online. so you can get some colorful railing planters and hang them there so that you have all the pots and planters in place. now, move onto the floor.

what you can do with your floor is just roll out artificial grass or turf and it'll instantly cheer up the space and after that you can place a chair or anything that you have with you like stool or.... anything to sit on so basically we're creating a small sit-out so you can place chairs and then place some beautiful colorful cushions after that you can hang some beautiful lighting as well. like you can choose some moroccan lamps or lanterns or the lamps and lanterns that are trending these days. and i would suggest you to use led string lights. well, because i've been using since long and they're quality product. these led lights are quality products and they look magical.

so please try it out. i have added the link in description box and here are the images. third query i have received from saranya viay. she has asked that my living room is quite big and i want to do something innovative with it. she already has 3+2 sofa and here are the images of her living room. and this is the layout. saranya, you've got a huge living room which is totally empty right now. and you want to fill it up so i would like to suggest you that start from the corners. place some trendy lamps in a corner and after that you can fill up the space using book shelves or any such furniture that

not only gives you the opportunity to store your stuff but will also look trendy. so that is the one way and second thing is.. since you said you already have 3+2 seater sofa, so what you can do is you can add two more accent chairs in different colors to add some pop of color. and if you're someone who likes bohemian style then you'll definitely love low seating arrangement. so what you can do is you can just throw some floor cushions and create a beautiful floor seating. now next, lighting is also very important part when you're doing up your living room. i would suggest you to get some trendy lights like cage pendant lights.

these are quite trendy these days and economical as well. or you can use combination lights. so it's totally up to you. now for wall, what you can do with your walls is you can add some patterns using wallpapers or if you are living in a rental apartment then i would suggest you to refer to my previous video in which i've shown that how peel and stick wallpaper can bring a lot of drama to your living room so this way you can add some patterns and then you can use similar kind of rug.

next what you can do is to add some character to your bare walls you can just put up a huge ornate mirror or or you can display a cluster of mirrors in different different sizes and shapes. so that'll definitely create an interesting display. now, next query i've received from breathing in rhythm she has sent me a lot of images. she lives in mumbai and she has asked despite having a spacious home in mumbai, my home looks cluttered and un-organized. please suggest me wall paint color, she already has yellow and orange so this time she she wants something else and some decorating ideas to make it look modern.

ok! so first thing that i noticed is that because this is not only about wall colors but your furniture placement and decor is making it look cluttered. so what you can do is, choose a furniture that is...that looks modern and that has a sleek look. and then place the furniture in a way that there is some gap between all the furniture. so first thing i would like to suggest you is to declutter your home because once you declutter it, you'll have a lot of space. and then you can rearrange your furniture space out the furniture. right now it is creating a clumsy look you have arranged it in a closely packed manner.

so just space out the furniture. there should be some gap between the sofas and coffee table and get some modern furniture that has a sleek look. right! so that is the one thing and second you already have huge windows so take advantage of that and then hang some mirrors on the opposite wall so that it reflects the sunlight and fills the room with bright light. it will make your room appear bigger and brighter. and continue using sheer curtains and then place the furniture right below the window not not in-front of it because it will obstruct the sunlight

and yes, it'll create a clutter-free look as well. and since you already have yellow and orange walls so this time i would suggest you to go for some pastels and neutrals and if you feel that it's giving you a dull look then you can create a statement wall like i said earlier. you can get one wall painted in a different color, bright color or you can add wallpapers or you can get it stenciled or just display pictures or create a gallery wall. there are lots of options that you can opt for. it totally depends on your personality, your taste. so whatever suits to your taste, you can go for it.

and then you can add some colors using soft furnishings like cushions, rugs and curtains. so you can infuse lot of colors using these things. and next is lighting. you wouldn't believe how lighting can instantly change the look of your living room it will add the warmth and character to your living room so i would suggest you to get some modern contemporary light and... don't forget to highlight the statement wall with recessed lighting fixtures or you can opt for chandelier as well. so that's what you can do with your living room.

and i have seen lots of musical instruments in your room so i would suggest that get one specific place made for your musical instruments and place them there beautifully. nicely arranged and then hang some flowy white or sheer curtains there and add some led lights if you love that effect. and place some colorful cushions so it'll definitely add a lot of character to your living room so, yeah that's all. i hope you liked the ideas and tips we shared here.
