erika storm wasser:hi, i'm erika, comedian and host of spacestv. i just moved into a tribecaloft, but the only reason i was able to afford it is becauseit's falling apart. but the place has great bones,it has so much potential. and luckily, i'm alwaysdown for a renovation makeover project. which is why we are going roomby room with the help of my friends from spacestv and thedesign savvy that i've picked

up along the way and turningthis space from hot mess into a place i can call home. [music playing] erika storm wasser:well, that's new. well, right now, this bathroomlooks like something that's out of the eastern blocwhere someone's about to lose a kidney. you have the lovely piping here, which is ideal if you're going to handcuff anyoneto anything.

we definitely want to upgradethe lighting. plus we have the clawfoot tub, which could be really, really cool and architectural, butright now it's just like "grey gardens" sad. and then on this side, we'vefashioned a piece of plastic painting tarp to the wallwith home depot hooks. we definitely want to keepthe natural light. we love that about the space. but overall, we just feel veryoverwhelmed by the sheer

massive size of it. but thank god we have kennethand davis of kenneth/davis, inc. because they are going tocome in here and totally make this place amazing. let's see what they'regoing to do. erika storm wasser: well, one ofthe most challenging spaces in this entire apartment wasdefinitely this bathroom. it was overwhelmingly largeand it was just-- davis tamburin: itwas disgusting.

kenneth wilkinson: well, not disgusting. erika storm wasser:it was disgusting. how did we get fromthere to here? because i just let the reignsloose and now just walked into this space that i love. kenneth wilkinson: the wall. we went and we found inexpensiveflat mirror. and then just placingseveral unusual mirrors in front of it.

so from a distance, when youwalk in you have the illusion of the whole wallbeing mirrored. erika storm wasser: so one ofthe things we really wanted to do was, obviously, distractthe eye from all of that eyesores that this room had. davis tamburin: yes. erika storm wasser: and so thechandelier i thought was really cool. and i loved how big andgraphic it was.

davis tamburin: and thechandelier with the mirrors and the accessories really dressup the space without spending a lot of money. erika storm wasser: yeah. kenneth wilkinson: withoutmaking it formal. davis tamburin: exactly. kenneth wilkinson: it'sstill whimsical. davis tamburin: well, we wantedto bring another accent color in here, so what we didwas to tie in the two colors

together, we found thesewonderful towels in gray, beige, and white. and that pulled everythingtogether and created some drama in here. kenneth wilkinson: and alsobrought it in from the rest of the apartment. kenneth wilkinson:so it's cohesive. davis tamburin: and itties it all together. kenneth wilkinson: yeah.

davis tamburin: so addingall those combinations just kind of worked. and i think that's when peoplego astray is when they try to focus in on one look. erika storm wasser: thank you somuch to benjamin moore for the high-gloss white. all the accessories arefrom global views and home goods, right? davis tamburin: yep.

erika storm wasser: everythingat [inaudible]. and some ikea. and thank you guys so muchfor setting your heart to something you wouldn'tset your foot in. [laughter] erika storm wasser: you too canmake a powder room out of literally nothing. you've been watching "it's gotpotential." we're going to have a new episode every week,so subscribe to spaces and see

the entire transformation ofmy hot mess apartment.
